How do you become a member of NHAMFT?

When you join the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and reside in New Hampshire, then you are also automatically a member of NHAMFT.

Members complete one application, pay AAMFT and NHAMFT membership dues in one annual fee, and are credentialed once by AAMFT.

Categories of membership include:

    • Clinical: A qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution and two years post-degree supervised clinical experience.
    • Associate: A qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution.
    • Student: Current enrollment in a qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution or a COAMFTE-accredited graduate program or post-graduate institute.
    • Affiliate: A non-clinical membership for individuals in allied professions and other persons interested in marriage and family therapy.

The fastest way to become a member is by completing the AAMFT online application process.
