How do you become a member of NHAMFT?
When you join the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and reside in
Members complete one application, pay AAMFT and NHAMFT membership dues in one annual fee, and are credentialed once by AAMFT.
Categories of membership include:
- Clinical: A qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution and two years post-degree supervised clinical experience.
- Associate: A qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution.
- Student: Current enrollment in a qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy (or a related mental health field) from a regionally accredited educational institution or a COAMFTE-accredited graduate program or post-graduate institute.
- Affiliate: A non-clinical membership for individuals in allied professions and other persons interested in marriage and family therapy.
